use the white scrubber from Mr. Clean. Works existent adept. Will non scratch!
If it has scratched through the surface white and so cleaning won't assist. You need something to paint on it to disguise the scratches. I wonder if something similar Tippex (for typing errors) would work if they nonetheless sell information technology. You demand to blend the black scratch with the white sink basically.
If it's porcelain, Bon Ami or Comet will get that off hands. If it's not porcelain, and so those products will scratch the sink. The magic eraser will do as well.
Employ Whink and rinse immediately.
I accept this aforementioned problem! The black marks came from a metal pan and now trying everything from baking soda, cream of tarter, peroxide, Mr. Clean Eraser, cypher works! I'one thousand going to follow your thread so I tin hopefully solve my problem too! You are non lone!
I had a white sink from ikea and institute the but thing that removed the sratches was Bar keepers Friend
I've a porcelain sink also...the marks from pans etc come off with Dawn lather or Scrubbing Bubbles spray foaming cleanser. I also accept very hard h2o & use a lime hard h2o remover. Instructions on my sink from Kohler was to NOT use Comet so I don't every bit I was afraid of scratching. The scratches in your sink expect different than regular use scratches...not sure what you can do for them.
Bar Keepers Friend, of course! An old product that is still great! Cheap, too.
I have a feeling they came from the contractor that installed the sink. But I'1000 going to try the Barkeepers Friend next, as soon as I get to the store. I'll keep you posted.
Bar Keepers Friend will work on that. I utilize information technology on mine all the fourth dimension.
I accept the same problem from metal pots and pans. I tried all the above mentioned things with no luck.
I like Zud or Bar Keeper's Friend. Only exam first.
TA DA! The Barkeepers Friend worked! When the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers didn't work, I thought zippo would work!
Sometimes we se bleach. Only permit it sit down for a while..
I e'er effort SoftScrub, available at nearly grocery stores, on marks similar this. So far, every one of them has come up off. It works like Comet simply is non nearly equally abrasive to your sink.
I had a white porcelain sink and I got rid of information technology.
I also use a scotch brite pad to clean- information technology takes up the scratches pretty well...
Dont employ comet. It leaves a blue residual.
I have used Comet and or Ajax and information technology works well besides for bleaching a small sink - a fox my mother taught me -line sink w/ paper towels and pour bleach on the paper towels let it sit down for a while
I had the aforementioned mark in one of our porcelain sinks. Had no idea what when or why, it just appeared one day. Couldn't experience the scratch mark either. I cleaned the sink with a baking soda paste then sprayed with hydrogen peroxide and placed a folded paper towel saturated in h. peroxide and permit sit down for awhile. Totally gone! After months, another 'scratch showed upward and I just put another saturated paper towel and left information technology there for some time, and gone. Strangest thing!
So glad I came upon this in my google search! We just renovated and put in a white porcelain farm sink. At that place were and then many tiny blackness "scratches" on the front end lip later on only three weeks. I thought we were doomed. Barkeepers Friend got rid of them, though using varying degrees of elbow grease!
Barkeepers Friend or Cameo
I have a Kohler white pedestal bath sink that has mysteriously gotten blackness/grey streaks in it. It's a bathroom sink. Information technology is not scratched. or scuffed from pots. Nothing has been dropped in it. I have tried everything & finally wrote to Kohler today, but it's Sunday. I take tried every matter all you ladies have suggested, which I know works on metallic scuffs and I utilize all the time in the Kitchen. The only affair I haven't tried is the paper towels with peroxide which I will practice as soon as I'g done typing. If that fails I cannot imagine what is going on. Information technology's like the lines are leeching through the porcelain. Whatsoever ideas?
2 solutions!
1) dawn dish soap direct on the sink, sprinkle with powder bar keepers friend, scrub with a Lysol wipe and ta da - cute, glistening sink and no more marks!
two) Tom bow Mono Sand Eraser
I've been trying to solve this trouble for a while . Final solution : crest whitening toothpaste. I rubbed a big gob on with my finger and it started taking it off, but it was slow. Rubbed it in with a magic eraser and they just disappeared!
Sprinkle Ajax multi purpose cleaner or similar scrub with moist scrubber.
Endeavor Mr. Clean magic eraser or Fantastic Cleaner with bleach? Y'all probably don't desire to use anything that volition scratch.
Have been trying all sorts to fix this problem , had some black streaks on porcelain bath sink. Even tried bar keepers friend which didn't piece of work. In the terminate tissue soaked in Bleach and left for a while did the fox ! Thanks for the suggestion
Just plant this thread. I've been struggling with blackness marks. Thank you, Barkeepers friend was an instant success.
I dont know why it works... just i find using the end of a swan vesta match remove stubborn stains where other solutions fail. Slightly dampen and scrub away...savor
I use to clean houses we would accept that trouble with almost every porcelain sink. Wink would become it off everytime!
I just tried the Mr Clean pad with a teenie bit of gel toothpaste and calorie-free round rotation. Yay !!!!! All clean !!!!! Thanks all :-)
Had the same issue after a faucet replacement by a plumber who had his power tool bear upon the enamel and leave black scuffs... Nothing worked at first: not baking soda, nor vinegar, or toothpaste. HOWEVER! Barkeepers Friend with scotch pad worked! Simply the 'play tricks' was that later scrubbing I left if on for long, some 10 minutes (!-- the instructions on bottle are to leave it on for one minute only--that DID Non piece of work...-) and was amazed upon my render! Almost completely gone! SO I repeated: applying and scrubbing again, leaving on for 10 minutes and, a last slight scrubbing and the ugly blackness scuffing was completely gone (other than to the experience by, say, passing a finger... but no longer any blackness etc.)...
Try Cerama Bryte. It works like a charm. I restored my old white porcelain sink with it. I wrote an entire post on information technology on my blog. Magic.
I would endeavor a Magic Eraser. If the marks are are etched, try bleach.
Use Bar Keepers Friend or Magic Eraser. Those both work on my white sink.
Barkeeper'south friend will piece of work on this, i had the same thing on my farmhouse sink, worked dandy!
This works a charm:
1) Spray bathroom cleaner on the grayness marks
two) Add some toothpaste
3) Apply the green scotchbrite side of a kitchen washing upwardly sponge to rub in circular motions for nigh 30 seconds... You take to press down quite hard on the sponge.
iv) Maybe step 1 is not needed just all iii steps done together is what just worked for me 👍️
Bar Keeper's Friend and a piffling scrubby pad will clean this right upwardly without any elbow grease or hassle. Works on plates as well for silverware marks.
Use lemon juice or white vinegar. Permit it sit for a minute and some light rubbing with a paper towel wet with vinegar and the acid volition have out the aluminum scratches from a pan on your porcelain sink!
İs information technology this one? İ've only realised that my ceramic sink has black lines/stains as well. Would like to try information technology simply need make sure it'south the right one.
